Dans le cadre de la Saison #1 – Vous avez un message, La Panacée accueille le projet de Sébastien Pluot et Fabien Vallos, Art by Telephone… Recalled. Cette exposition réactive les œuvres de l’exposition mythique Art by Telephone qui s’est tenue au Musée d’Art Contemporain de Chicago en 1969 tout en la prolongeant aujourd’hui avec des propositions de nouveaux artistes. Les œuvres sont transmises oralement par téléphone pour être interprétées, activées et produites par des étudiants en arts.
À partir du 21 novembre, une partie des archives sera présentée dans le Centre de ressources avant d’être montrée plus largement dans les espaces d’exposition pour le vernissage de la prochaine exposition Dernières nouvelles de l’Ether.
Une série d’ateliers/workshops avec les étudiants d’art associés au projet auront lieu de novembre 2013 à juin 2014 et donneront lieu à des expositions et à la réactivation d’œuvres et de performances.
À partir du 7 février l’exposition Art by Telephone… Recalled se déploiera en cinq périodes. En 2012 l’exposition a eu lieu simultanément dans cinq lieux dans le monde afin de montrer la possibilité d’un versionnage concomitant des œuvres. En 2014, à La Panacée, le versionnage se déroulera au fur et à mesure de l’exposition et des différentes activations réalisées par les commissaires et par les étudiants.

As part of Season #1 – You have a message, La Panacée will host the project Art by Telephone … Recalled. This exhibition revives a selection of works from the legendary exhibition, Art by Telephone that took place at the Museum of Contemporary Art Chicago in 1969, extending it today with contributions from new artists. The works are first orally conveyed by telephone to then be interpreted, activated and produced by art students.
From November 21, the archives of the Museum of Contemporary Art Chicago will be displayed in the resource centre of the Panacée, accompanied by analyses and commentaries.
A series of workshops will take place between November 2013 and June 2014 with art students associated with the project (from the École supérieure d’art d’Angers and the École nationale supérieure de la photographie d’Arles). The purpose of these workshops is to further develop the historical and theoretical knowledge around the themes of the exhibition and interpret and to produce the works.
In 2012, the exhibition took place simultaneously in 5 different locations around the world in order to show the possibility of concurrent production of different versions of the works. In 2014, this production of multiple versions will take place at the Panacée over 4 different periods, from February 7 until September 14.
